PreLIMS has been designed to solve many of the problems of sample collection, including the physical sample, the subject's consent to use the sample and all the associated phenotypic data. It also ensures that all the information collected with the sample stay associated with the sample, preserving its integrity, so that you can use it again and again, knowing the sample's provenance.

PreLIMS is a web based system, so is easily deployed to sample collection points. This means questionnaires and other associated data capture can be completed on-line at the time of sample capture, and built in validation ensures that the answers provided are consistent and valid.

The data is automatically captured into a central, secure database and immediately available for the Principal Investigator to access. This gives them easier access to both the actual sample data, but also information about collection rates and profile data, so that you can ensure the correct cross section of samples are being collected.

Barcodes are created and attached to samples and any other physical items that are collected, so that they can be tracked and associated with the questionnaire and consent information.
