Azura's BioBank Management System allows you to manage multiple sample collections within one system.
It helps ensures the sample's integrity, but most importantly allows you to make most effective use of the samples within your bank. By allowing searching across sample collections you can always find existing samples that will be suitable for future projects.
Data can be filtered and compared relative to other data items, such as a simple example Gender and age of onset, all of which is represented graphically.
Once a suitable list of samples has been generated a request for the physical samples can be made. The approval process ensures that the request is acceptable and the sample picklist is then generated for your LIMS.
Azura's BioBank is LIMS independent, so that you're not tied to a particular vendor.

For Academic Institutions, there is a collaborative BioBank version which facilitates collaboration between researchers and collection holders. An example of this can be seen in the UK DNA Banking Networks case study here. For further information click here.
