Focussing on Sample Management, we have worked with a number of organisations, including the UK DNA Banking Network (UDBN) and the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) to help them manage their data in an effective way.

With UDBN we have developed a sample management system of which there are two main components, CoMS (the Collaboration Management System) and PreLIMs (the sample capture and tracking system).

For the MNDA a data capture system has been developed allowing them to collect all their questionnaire data remotely and analyse it in a central place. This is quite similar to PreLIMS, but without the physical sample tracking.

We have developed and delivered numerous data management system, including a number within the sample capture, tracking and bio banking sector. The proposed work for the Scoliosis study will allow them to capture their data securely and ensure that it is always linked to the correct sample, limiting possibilities of errors being introduce because of human error.
